Description:
The Museum Assistant is works in the Garth & Jerri Frehner Museum of Natural History to develop exhibits, work with specimens, assist visitors during museum hours, and lead tours. Various shifts are available from Tuesday through Friday 10:30 am - 4:30 pm. Candidates must be responsible, independent, and punctual. Must be comfortable interacting with the general public, especially children and international visitors. Background or interests in education, science, art, or museum studies are preferred.
Qualifications:
Qualified applicants must be able to work between 10:30 am and 4:30 pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday. Occasional opportunities to work outside these hours do arise. Qualified applicants should be reasonably outgoing or willing to learn how to communicate with the general public and supervisor.
